Day touring
Day touring kayaks are usually between 11 and 15 feet in length, making them ideal for smaller rivers and canals, as well as coastal areas. Most offer bow and stern storage for extra kit.
These kayaks are designed as compact but still high performance boats, this means they glide through the water with ease but are smaller lighter and easier to turn than their bigger brothers. They have a lower carrying capacity than the larger versions and are a little slower through the water but ideal for beginners or experienced paddlers who want a nice small kayak for river/canal touring.
The larger touring kayaks are ideal for larger river, coastal and estuary work. They have a greater carry capacity for kit and will easily manage longer 3-5 day trips if needed.
